Construction Accidents and Highway Work Zones in Delaware
The Freibott Law Firm was recently successful at a disfigurement hearing held to determine the compensation due for our client’s injury to his hand; specifically, the crushing of his fifth (pinky) finger. The Industrial Accident Board agreed with our firm’s argument that our client’s disfigurement was clearly disfigured and that the Claimant credibly testified to a significant social/psychological impact from the disfigurement. The Industrial Accident Board awarded 25 weeks of compensation for our client’s disfigurement. As such, because the worker’s compensation insurance company offered far less compensation, our firm was awarded an attorney’s fee for our successful presentation to the Industrial Accident Board.
