The Freibott Law Firm was recently successful in obtaining a large settlement from a Pennsylvania trucking company. After taking depositions of the defendant truck driver, and an independent witness, we were able to allege that the defendant truck driver was negligent by wrongfully changing lanes causing the collision that injured our client. The client severely injured her neck, which necessitated a cervical fusion. There were two mediations that occurred in this case. At the first mediation, the defendant truck company offered no money to resolve the case as it was its belief that its driver was not at fault. At the second mediation, held several days before the scheduled jury trial, the defendant truck company agreed to the Plaintiff’s demand. The settlement resolved the Plaintiff’s claim for her pain and suffering, her outstanding medical expenses of approximately $150,000.00, and her lost wages in the approximate amount of $9,000.00.
