The Freibott Law Firm secured a large settlement in a matter involving a very serious injury wherein our client was a passenger of a car driven by her fiancé. The fiancé was traveling on a poorly lit road at night when he was confronted by a tractor trailer that had proceeded to stop perpendicular to oncoming traffic. Our client’s vehicle slid underneath the tractor trailer causing fatal injuries to the fiancé and very serious injuries to our client. Our client sustained injuries which included a fractured ulna of the left arm; three skin grafts; ACL left knee tear; severe scalp injury; a subdural hematoma; a compound fracture of her right arm; and major scarring. Our client underwent numerous surgeries. The truck company resolved the case at mediation for $800,000.00 and the insurance company for the driver of the vehicle in which our client was a passenger settled the case for its policy limits of $15,000.00.
